Plus Size Maternity

Huisshh....lama giler rsnye x mengupdate blog nih. A lot has happened in the past couple of months....the good ones and the bad ones. But alhamdulillah, at my worst....my husband, my family and my friends were always there to make sure tht i "stand tall".

Anyway, bck to the reason tht i started this blog. Ms mula2 tuh just nk share my experiences being a plus size lady in an Asian country...and getting married. Not a very good combination, i might say. For one, sgt la susahnye mencari bj plus size kat Malaysia nih....if ade pun, limited choices. Kalo kat cnih la, utk org2 yg plus size, u need to have 2 things....1)filthy RICH! Coz bj2 plus size kat cnih mahal nk mampos!....2)no taste in fashion whatsoever! Dh le mahal, lack in style and taste. Kalo yg murah lak, mmg x up to date lgsg. You would consider urself very fortunate if you can find anything th fits you but yet stylish *sigh*

Thn nk cr wedding dress pulak. Lg satu hal. But alhamdulillah, dpt jugak dicari :) and i'm quite happy to help some ladies to find their plus size wedding dresses thru my blog. Now comes the hard part.....PLUS SIZE MATERNITY clothes!

Sadly, there is not one shop/boutique in KL tht carries plus size maternity clothing. Mmg bj maternity tuh besar....but for normal size ppl la. Kita nih dh le extra-ordinary size kind of ppl...maner la nk muat. I have tried going to almost all shop/boutiques tht i know off tht carries maternity line but xde yg sesuai, esp tang sluar. It will always be senteng @ sendat....sgt x comfortable. Due to time constraints (and tummy yg membesar), i had to resort to smthg else. So for the time being....aku terpaksa la beli bj plus size yg biasa tht's about 2 sizes bigger thn my usual size :(. Blh la....dr xde bj langsung. But skrg nih tummy kecik lg, can't imagine wht should i wear bila dh 7-8 bulan nnt *sigh*

Finally, i might resort to buying plus size maternity clothing thru the websites in US. Mintak tlg my dear friend yg tgh study kat saner to deliver it to me kat cnih. But not yet la....tunggu pregancy masuk 5@6 mths, by thn i can predict how big i'll be in my full term. And its still damn cheap to get it thru tht way. Oh ya, did also mentioned tht maternity clothing here is insanely EXPENSIVE!! Huhu.....korang tgk la sndr.....

Masuk ari nih....dh 4 bulan 10 hari since the day we got married :). Cepat tul masa berlalu. And on Jan 20th arituh.....we had received a wonderful news :)! Alhamdulillah.....i'm pregnant with our 1st child!

Actually i had done the home pregnancy test on my own 2 hari berturut2 coz not so sure if i did it right. Went to the doctor for the 1st time on Jan 19, and did the test....it was "false-negative". Doc kata i did the test at the wrong time of the day, i should have taken early in the morning (i took both test at night, lps blk keje). Supposedly in the morning ur hormone level is much more concentrated. So doc suruh aku dtg blk after 1 week. Aku tak give-up....i bought another test kit, and sok pepagi nye lps Subuh, i tried again....and it was (+ve). Aku ajak hubby gi jumpe doctor lain lak. And Alhamdulillah....mmg its (+ve) :). 

Right now, i'm already 8 weeks pregnant and the morning sickness dh start. Nauseas, headache, mood swings.....all comes in a pckg. Although br 8 weeks, but i'm starting to feel a lil' bit of discomfort when i'm wearing my fav jeans....esp. bila duduk, senak rs perut. If pakai my working pants, they're not so bad.....but dh mula terasa sendat. Probably need to find bigger pants kot ?? But what i had enjoyed most during this preriod is....pampering from my hubby ;)!! hehe....best sgt. I mean, he has always been pampering me from day 1 but after receiving the pregnancy news...laaaaagi lar :). I love him so much! 

My husband and i are keeping a low profile on this news at 1st coz tak nak over excited about it. Org tua2 kata "pantang". But how do you contain such a wonderful news??? I would never thought tht i would get pregnant this early....with my PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) issue and other health problems....alhamdulillah, Allah has heard our prayers. 

Both of our parents dh tau. My mom could not hide her smiles when we told her about it....a grandchild tht she has been waiting for :). Both of my in-laws are ecstatic as well, Syed's grandma pun sronok sgt (1st cicit....insya-Allah).

Skrg nih tgh control my food intake. Dh le skrg nih asyik lapar je :P. I'm learning to take for veggies and fruits. Tgh nk kurangkan all my fav sodas (huhu), maggi mee (aiseh) and other oily stuff. I'm also taking Folic Acid yg doc bg ms checkup arituh and also "Mamil Mama" for additional nutrients. Skrg nih pantang aku ckp teringin nk mkn smthg....mama will surely cook it in the next hour :) hehe! Itu la untungnye mak duk skali dgn kita ;)

If xde ape aral, we're schedule to do our 1st scan on the baby (nk tgk development etc....) next week. Tak sabar rasanye....but at the same time, i'm actually quite worried. I hope everything will be okay. Doa-doakan la utk kami k ;)

Honeymoon at Tanjong Jara Resort

Diam tak diam....it has been 3 months and 5 days since we got married. Kejap je kn? Lama la pulak tak update this blog....super busy since we got bck to work :). So as promised in my last entry....here's some snapshots during our honeymoon in Terengganu.


On Oct 5, kitaorg shoot terus ke Dungun heading to Tanjong Jara Resort. What? Tak pernah dgr ape itu Tanjong Jara Resort (TJR)?? Ooo....Phuket, Bali, etc....sume korang tau. The jewel in our own beautiful country pun korang tak nak amik tau ye?hehe....sory, emo lak. Actually ramai yg tanye why kitaorg tak pegi oversea for our honeymoon. Sbnrnye terpulang la pada niat masing2....for us, we just wanted to spend time together...just the 2 of us. Kang kalo pi tmpt br, i'm sure nk kena pi sight-seeing la, shopping la....last2 penat. Lgpun takat nk pi Bali @ Phuket tuh, bila2 masa blh pi kn? Anyway....bck to our honeymoon trip. Here are some of the photos....enjoy :)

perghh....mmg jauh perjalanan kitaorg (and yes, we drove there) but alhamdulillah, ptg dlm kul 3pm (lebih kurang la...) kitaorg smpi. It was breath taking.....teramat cantik tmpt tuh. Smpi2 je, kitaorg disambut mcm VIP. The check-in was smooth....just masa nk gi bilik tuh jauh ckit. But the surrounding view make up for the long walk :)

Bila diaorg tau yg we're on our honeymoon, we got upgraded to 'Serambi Room' from 

'Bumbung Room' ;).  Sama je rupa but this is bigger and ade balcony....

Masa kat TJR nih, we took a full boarding pckg.....means termasuk skali dgn breakfast, lunch & dinner sepanjang our 3 days 2 nights stay kat ctuh. Mmg tak pyh susah2 cr tmpt nk makan....we hardly even leave the hotel area...sumer ade kat ctuh. The foods was oh-so-delicious!! Chef Anne kat restoran 'Di Atas Sungei' deserves a hats off la.....tak main la pakai menu, we can order anything tht our hearts desired :). And i canstill remember the dessert tht she had made for us....Lava Cake.....just typing this dh rasa mcm meleleh je air liuq nih...haha!

Anyway....all good things must come to an end. Lps lunch, kitaorg checked-out and heads towards K. Terengganu. Kitaorg duk kat Riyaz Heritage Hotel & Spa. Another hotel yg sgt best....nk gi maner2 dlm resort tuh, we're chauffered....naik the electric car. We did some shopping kat Pasar Payang....beli buah tangan utk folks back home.

Lps KT, kitaorg teruskn perjalanan utk ke Taiping (kg. syed). It was the looooooongest drive i had ever experienced......kitaorg ikut Jeli thn potong ikut this long and winding stretch of road (tak ingat ape nama jln tuh). Tau2 je, aku terbaca signboard "Anda kini berada di puncak Banjaran Titiwangsa"....humang aih!! Tak payah susah2 jadik reccers...dh naik gunung dh...haha!

After dh lepak kat Taiping, br la kitaorg blk ke Bangi. So, if you had asked me now....would you have gone to Bali instead of tht tiring road trip? I would take the roadtrip with my hubby all over again, anytime! :)

Alhamdulillah....

      Alhamdulillah.....dh 38 ari aku slamat menjadi isteri kepada Syed Abdul Rahim :). Everything went zooming by.....cepat tul masa berlalu. Syukur sgt sumer majlis selamat dilangsungkan....Nikah was on Sept 25, right after maghrib. Dgn 2 kali lafaz (w'pun actually just sekali shj....long story), kami selamat diijabkabulkan.

Then, the next day....Sept 26, was my reception kat Dewan Seri Melati, Putrajaya. Alhamdulillah....ramai tul org2 yg dtg. We were so thrilled to see at 1 point of time.....dewan tuh jd penuh sgt. We had everyone tht we've known thru our life journey....family, kawan sek. rendah, kawan sek. menengah, kawan masa diploma, kawan masa degree, kawan2 from K2.....sronok sgt :)

The following weekend, Oct 2 lak was reception belah lelaki. The reception was held at Maktab PDRM in Cheras. Ramai giler family Syed nih rupenye.....up till now i lost track who's who...hehe...

On Oct 5 lak, we went straight for our honeymoon destination....Tanjong Jara Resort, which i will tell more in my next blog ;).

Note: Sampai skrg ni kn.....kitaorg still mcm x percaya yg we're married. After all the things tht we had went thru together....dr mula2 kawan for 2 years, sampai jd couple for another 6 years....finally, kami di satukn dgn restu both families :).

Wedding Card - Part II

For the past 1 month....we've started distributing our cards :). Alhamdulillah...it turned out really nice! And we've been receiving compliments after compliments for it. Even ade yg duk call and sms, nk tanye kat mane kitaorg wat card tuh....i really like the card. Its elegant but yet simple.....just like us ;) hehe....

Hmm...lama tak update blog. Byk sgt benda yg took place...after one and another. And by the end of the day...i was just too damn tired to look at the blog.

But anyway...time to update coz lagi 14 ari....is my BIG day :)!! hehe....kejap je masa berlalu kn? Good news no. 1.....Some time in early July, kitaorg menerima kehadiran "insan" baru in our life...hehe...relax! not a baby ...well, not yet anyway :). But we've got our new Chevy Cruze!! Dh dekat 3 bulan pakai keta ni dh and we're loving every single day of it. I think we had made a good choice :). So skrg nih, aku dgn syed gilir2 pakai keta tuh. During workdays, i'll be using the Cruze and dia pakai Atos. Weekends lak tgk lah....sometimes Syed pakai :). 

Good news no. 2.....Starting Sept 1, 2010 arituh....i was promoted as the new Recruitment Supervisor :). Alhamdulillah....org kata, nih la rezeki org nk kawin. With the new job, i have a very heavy responsibility.....i have my work planned out for me already. To tell you the truth, it has been pretty tough in the last 2 weeks....but have to stay strong and show them i'm capable of being a leader.
